Collection Statement

Last updated November 2026

This Collection Statement explains how 20Talk Ltd (ABN 50 643 936 690) collects and handles your personal information at the point you provide it. It is a short notice that sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which sets out the full detail.

What we collect and why

When you book or attend training, register for an event, donate, fundraise, volunteer, subscribe to updates, apply for a role, or contact us, we collect personal information relevant to that activity. This usually includes your name and contact details, and the specific information needed for what you are doing, for example donation details or event and training details.

We collect and use this information to deliver our mental health education programs and events, process and acknowledge donations and issue receipts, respond to your enquiries, manage our volunteers, partners and supporters, send you updates where you have opted in, and meet our legal and reporting obligations as a registered charity.

Sensitive information

Because of the nature of our work, you may choose to share sensitive information, such as information about your health or wellbeing. We only collect sensitive information with your consent and where it is reasonably necessary, and we handle it with additional care. You are never required to share more than you are comfortable with.

If you do not provide it

You do not have to give us your personal information. If you choose not to, we may not be able to provide the service you have asked for, process your donation, register you for an event or training, or respond to your request.

How we collect it

We usually collect personal information directly from you, through our forms, bookings, website and the third-party platforms we use to run programs, events and fundraising. Sometimes we collect it from someone acting on your behalf, for example a person registering you for training.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate, such as payment and fundraising platforms, email and CRM tools and analytics providers, and with partners or regulators where you have consented or where required or authorised by law.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers may store or process information overseas. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Accessing your information and making a complaint

Our Privacy Policy explains how you can access or correct the personal information we hold about you, how we store and protect it, and how to make a complaint if you have a concern. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
