The problem
20Talk empowers young Australians with the tools and skills to tackle life's challenges
To be the most relatable mental health charity of the 21st century.
We use media, technology and wellbeing science to reach and support thousands of young people. Mental health sits on a continuum, so our funnel meets people at every stage: from first awareness to hands-on training.
One journey, three stages
We meet young people where they are, from a first moment of awareness through to hands-on training, and move them along at their own pace.
- 1
Awareness campaigns
Self-reflection banners across major Australian cities, paired with our online mental health ads, have reached over 15 million young people, meeting them on the issues they actually face.
- 2
Online education
From there, they move to our organic channels: Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, with 60,000+ followers and 100,000+ monthly views. Lived-experience interviews, podcasts and conversations with professionals keep it engaging and accessible.
- 3
Mental Health Maintenance training
The final stage is our MHM training, in person and online. A one-day course of 12 wellbeing modules built by Perth-based specialists: psychologists, sleep and emotional-regulation researchers, financial planners and First Nations elders.
